Video Conferencing and Meeting Collaboration
The rapid deployment of mobile devices capable of participating in Unified Conferencing and Collaboration (UCC) is a trend that continues to develop AV centric technologies being more reliant and running over IP networks. It is worth noting most end users attending this year’s InfoComm had a similar request…”How can we connect and conduct quality productive meetings seamlessly from Anywhere, at Any time and on Any Device?” End users want the ability to quickly and easily connect and present from any device, locally within the space and with others remotely.
Exhibitors at this year’s show seem to take one of two approaches….1) focus on solutions to enhance the Skype for Business experience or 2) offer presentation/conferencing products that are conference platform agnostic.
With the improved camera analytics and artificial intelligence (A.I.), most of the exhibitors are offering image framing and zooming to focus more closely on the participants, not the room. This framing improves the meeting experience and makes the conference and collaboration more realistic.
At this year’s show, several cloud-based conferencing platforms introduced room based solutions. Recognizing the planned increase of smaller conference and huddle rooms, companies want to be positioned to offer simple, easy-to-use products to enhance the user experience. The benefits of allowing the room to be reserved at the time the meeting is scheduled, offering users the ability to walk in, push one button to join the call the ability to share content wirelessly truly allows technology to enable and enhance collaboration without complicating it!
InfoComm is the premier tradeshow for the pro-AV market. At this event, manufacturers introduce their newest products and services. AV integrators come from all over to learn from leaders in the industry.
Each year Unified sends a team with a directed focus to learn all they can from suppliers in specific areas of AV concentration.
